Spywitness: Selma won't drop to tune in

Forget most of what you’ve read about Selma Blair recently. The “Los Angeles Confidential” magazine cover girl, who just returned from the Madrid premiere of “Hellboy 2,” set the record straight at The Crescent in Beverly Hills on Sunday.
No, it’s not true that she plans to go to Amsterdam to drop acid at the suggestion of director Guillermo del Toro. No, she has not been offered a role in “The Hobbit.” And no, she doesn’t think that all Americans are deluded.
“I was completely joking when I told a reporter that I planned to drop acid and what I said was ridiculous,” Blair confided. “It was all my fault because I’m too sarcastic when I do interviews.”
“I’d love to work with Guillermo again but there’s not even a script for ‘The Hobbit’ yet,” she continued. “And I simply said some people, not all Americans, are delusional about thinking they look good in whatever they wear.”
But some things are true.
Blair confirmed that she gained twenty-five pounds for her role as a celebrity worshiper in NBC’s “Kath and Kim.”
