Ralph Fiennes was the guest of honor at last night's Los Angeles Confidential magazine party at the Mondrian Hotel's SkyBar. He's on the current cover and he's also nominated in five categories for Golden Globes: Best Supporting Actor, The Duchess Best Actor Miniseries/Motion Picture for TV, Bernard and Doris Best Miniseries/Motion Picture for TV, Bernard and Doris Best Motion Picture Comedy, In Bruges Best Motion Pictures Drama, The Reader
As cameras went nuts shooting flashes at him, we asked him to describe the Golden Globes experience. "It's another world," he said. "I remember when I first came, I was nominated (for 1993's Schindler's List)and it was another world to me. It’s another world to see so many established faces in one room."Kim Kardashian tugged on her dress top to keep from having a wardrobe malfunction and talked about boyfriend Reggie Bush. "We're not engaged. I don't know when that will ever happen. People keep asking, but I don't know!"She said she's "gearing up" for the third season of Keeping up with the Kardashians in March and she loves it. "Look, basically our job is to wake up and work with our family every day. It couldn't get any easier." What we'll see in Season 3: "I think that everyone assumes we all live in my mom's house and this season we're going to show where we all live. We're going to show a lot of our own elements."Bai Ling's been busy, too. "I have 8 movies in post production," she said. She also praised Ralph Fiennes. "I'm friends with him. I know him. There's something very sensitive and true in his soul."What wasn't true, she said, were those reports that she had shoplifted at LAX airport in February 2008. "It was a mistake. I'm innocent."

"I just think the media should take this country in a different direction," the 37-year-old actress tells the new issue of Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, on newsstands Aug. 15.
"We're so focused on the wrong things. We're teaching young girls that this is what they should be focusing on: rich and famous girls who are rich and famous for nothing."
In an apparent reference to coverage of Paris Hilton and her ilk, Pompeo says: "What are we doing to this younger generation? It's not very responsible."
Pompeo, who plays Dr. Meredith Grey on ABC's Grey's Anatomy, also calls the media "irresponsible" for ongoing speculation that she has an eating disorder.
"I just worry about the girls who look up to me — I don't want them to think I starve myself or don't eat, and that to be like me that's what they have to do," explains the actress, who says she is naturally slender.
Pompeo, who is engaged to record producer Chris Ivery, says they haven't yet set a wedding date. They became engaged in November, after dating for three years.
"I swear we're going to get married at sometime," she says. "We're just trying to fit it all in. It won't be a big ceremony — we want one thing to ourselves."
Does she see children in her future?
"I do," she says. "With the show, I just don't know if it's entirely fair to myself and to everybody else right now. We'll see what happens."
